We are a group of pediatric specialist doctors who completed several years of focused training to care for children and youth from birth to 17 years of age. We support referring care providers with assessments and guidance on pediatric-specific issues. We are consultant pediatricians, which means we do not provide primary, or routine care, including well-baby exams, well-child assessments, immunizations, pre-op assessments, emergency visits, or visits for active infections. You must be referred to our office by a physician, nurse practitioner, or midwife. Some patients will require only a one-time visit, while others may require ongoing follow-up. The pediatrician will inform you of the follow-up plan at the end of your appointment.
If you are awaiting a consult and you feel the issue is significantly worsening, please contact the referring doctor for reassessment. Your doctor can update us, so we can adjust the wait time if needed. We are unable to adjust consult wait times based on phone calls from parents or caregivers.
We are part of a pediatric community that includes coverage in the hospital, specialized clinics, clinical teaching and leadership. We all have multiple roles and are not available full-time in the clinic. Dr. Kent has additional fellowship training in pediatric pulmonology, which is his special area of interest, and performs office spirometry (lung function testing) and environmental allergy skin prick testing.
We participate in medical education. We sometimes have medical students and resident doctors in the office. We appreciate your help in training the doctors of the future.
